Shallots have a slightly sweet and mildly garlicky essence that enhances sauces, vinaigrettes, and sauts without overpowering the other ingredients. Their versatility shines in both raw and cooked applications, making them an indispensable ingredient for seasoned home cooks and professional chefs alike. With their papery skin and firm flesh, shallots have a longer shelf life than many other alliums, ensuring you always have them on hand to elevate your culinary creations.
